Professional Snooker Player, Emma Parker joins the WSA as an official Representative.

Jenise Spiteri, WSA Representitive and Professional Snowboarder talks to us about her sporting career, so far.

My name is Emma Parker and I am a twenty one year old snooker player. I am part of the World Women’s Snooker Tour and have been established as one of the most talented young players on the tour. I am a two time ranking event Semi-Finalist and have won nine Under-21 titles which includes the World Women’s Championship. I have also recently achieved my highest world ranking to date of number seven and number one in the Under-21 rankings.

Away from the women’s circuit I competed in a televised professional event ‘Snooker Shoot Out’ in 2019 which was a great experience for me and in 2020 I won the English Women’s Championship for the first time.

I’m very excited and honoured to become an Athlete Rep for The Women’s Sports Alliance. The WSA offer support, opportunities, resources and discounts to young female athletes like myself to help us reach the next level of performance in our careers. I think it is very important for young female athletes growing up to be given opportunities like this as it motivates us to work harder and hopefully rise to the top. I am hoping that we can make Snooker more aware to women all over the world and get more young girls/women to join our tour.
